Tight Lines Vacation home sits on beautiful scenic piece of heaven, with 80 feet of waterfront that feeds into Charlotte Harbor then onto the Gulf of Mexico. The kids will be filled with excitement and joy seeing all of the different kinds of fish swimming in the canal. The family will love their own private aquarium just below the dock. Spend the day fishing off the dock or take your boat ( not included) for a ride to the Charlotte Harbor and onto the Gulf of Mexico, you may even spot a manatee!
Tight Lines Vacation is a 3 bedroom 2 bath ranch style home located in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The home offers water views from the living room, kitchen, and dining area. Bask in the warm sun while taking in the cool breeze off the water. Enjoy your coffee in the morning or adult beverage in the evening, while watching the fish jump. So many activities to do such as, fishing, kayaking, and paddle boarding.
The Canal
The canal is salt water and deep in depth with flat rocks and shells of various sizes, which can be slippery, and sharp if they are turned on their side. Because of that, we recommend swim shoes around the dock, but would not suggest swimming in canal.
The canal is full of fish such as snook, cat fish, zebra fish, and various other fish. We would not recommend swimming in the canal, however paddle boarding and kayaking are ok.

Fishing from canal is permittable with a license, per Florida state laws. Anyone over the age of 16 must have a saltwater fishing license, even if just fishing off the dock. The license is available to purchase online at https://myfwc.com/license/recreational/visitors/ or at Walmart 19100 Murdock Cir, Port Charlotte, FL 33948. A 3-day permit ($17), 30-day ($30), or 1 year ($47) license. These are non-Florida resident prices. 2 fishing poles and some tackle are provided. Tight Lines is located in Port Charlotte along Florida's welcoming Gulf Coast, it is about halfway between Sarasota and Fort Myers. Port Charlotte features more than 165 miles of waterways, providing access to Charlotte Harbor, the Gulf of Mexico, and miles of natural shoreline bordering Charlotte Harbor and the Peace and Myakka rivers. Just 8.5 miles to Punta Gorda, 26 miles to Venice Beach, and 47 miles to Sarasota!
But that's not all. If you're a golfer you will have seven different golf courses to choose from. Take a drive to Charlotte Sports Park during spring training to watch Tampa Bay Rays. Port Charlotte has many beautiful beaches and parks to visit too.
There is so much to do in and around Port Charlotte. You will not be disappointed and will enjoy every minute of your stay.
